This project required mobilization the day of award to provide for public safety. Work then proceeded except during major storms until project completed.
This project repaired a slide on Hwy 96 along the Klamath River. Temporary shoring using a Hilfiker wall with spiral nails was installed to stabilize the remaining roadway. The unstable slide material was excavated and replaced by a rock slope protection buttress. A Hilfiker wall was constructed on the buttress to gain additional width.
